Final Digipack

The above shows the complete edited digipack to acompany the magazine advertisement and music video. Here you can see (top row left to right) the front cover, spine, back cover, and image for the cd slot. You can also see on the bottom row, the insert images that have been edited, including the kaleidoscope images. I believe that the black and white images are creative and unique, and look professional and well done. The subtle colours in the kaleidoscope images not only reflect the alternative/dance genre, they also brighten the artwork and compliment the black and white tones.

Final Front and Back Cover

Above is the final piece for the front cover of the digipack. The font Prisma was included as planned, however to make the album look more professional i also added a record label logo, and a small 5 star rating in the corner of the album. I believed that in real life, this would be more realistic and encourage people to purchase the album rather than it being plain. 

The below image is the back of the digipack, this includes a track list, a number of reviews, logo's, barcodes, and small print as i believed these are all important features in an album which would appear on a real production. The image is also spaced in a professional way as there are no image-text colour clashes and the text is clear and easy to read,

As seen below, i also created a spine for the album cover so that it would be complete. This is simply the edge from the image on the back of the cover so that the two images merge and are consistent. The font is consistent again as we used Prisma throughout the whole pack.

These are the two images i have chosen for the front and back cover of the digipack, i edited both of these images in the same style as the other portraits in the insert. As described in a previous post, i chose the above image as it is the strongest in terms of pose and eye contact. I chose the below image as it was still glamorous and professional, however it allowed for a lot of space for text, logo's barcodes etc.

The images below will accompany the earlier edited kaleidoscope images within the insert for our digipack, these images were all chosen due to the strong eye contact and fashionable poses, they also all incorporate the models style and none of the images chosen were boring or simple close-ups with no emotion or pose so that they looked interesting and professional.

Insert Images Editing Evidence

The above image demonstrates me changing the brightness and contrast of the image, this is so that the white background and facial features can become more clear, prominent and without shadow whilst still maintaining that the colours are not too contrasted not are they saturated.

This image above shows me editing the image to black and white, i am altering the colour levels whilst doing this so that different parts are darker, eg the Magenta section levels will be made higher so that her lipstick appears more statement and dark.

This above image shows me using the burn tool, i use this tool to darken features such as her eye make-up, lips and roots in her hair to make everything seem stronger and bolder.

Here i am about to select the dodge tool, i often used this in the editing process to lighten Bellas hair and also to remove any dark circles from under her eye along with any make up smudges.

Final Insert Images (Kaleidoscope)

In the images above are the final edits of the kaleidoscope inserts for the digipack, these are simply edited by using the hue adjustment tool and the selective colour tool along with layering (mainly the lips) to add a colour effect which meets the target audience of dance music rather than just simple black and white images which could represent a range of genres.
